Como Engineers > News > Project News > Another Regeneration Kiln Awarded

Como Engineers is proud to be awarded the contract for the supply of a 1,200 kg/hr LPG fired Horizontal Rotary Carbon Regeneration Kiln for ta majot existing gold operation located in New South Wales.

The kiln is being supplied by Custom Furnaces (Johannesburg).  Como Engineers are the Australian agents for Custom Furnaces, a relationship that stretches back over 25 years.

The gold operation needed to replace an aging kiln that was not performing.  With a track record for kilns stretching back to the early 1980s and hundreds of kilns supplied to the mining industry Custom Furnaces and Como Engineers were a good fit that the client was looking for.

Custom furnace kilns come in a range of sizes varying from 100 kg/hr to 2,000 kg/hr.  They can be powered by gas, diesel or electricity.

Como Engineers is able to provide not only the kiln, but the engineering design for the structure and project management for the installation.

This kiln is currently being constructed – here is what the initial stages of the build look like.

Stay tuned for further updates as the kiln progresses.
