Como Engineers are proud to be supporting the Harry Perkins Institute in their bid to end cancer.
As part of the fund raising efforts leading up to the ride Team Como conducted a sausage sizzle at the Wangara Bunnings on 21 May.
The crew had lots of support from the office, with donations of drinks and time on the stand greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Erika, Rebecca and Hin for lending a hand.
Around 800 sausages and 22 kilograms of onions were served up by the cycling chefs. The event coincided with the Federal election. In past years, the schools where the ballot boxes are hosted run their own sausage sizzle (democracy sausages). However, this year many chose not to. The result was that some people had come to the Wangara store just so that they could get a sausage.
The day raised over $1,000 which will all be going to the Harry Perkins Institute – Fantastic effort all round.
