The team at Como Engineers Pty Ltd are extremely pleased to announce being awarded the design and supply of a 10 tonne Modular Elution Circuit and Carbon Regeneration Plant with all Gold Room equipment to Greenstone Gold Mines (GGM) for their Hardrock Gold Project in Ontario, Canada. To be noted: The final confirmation to proceed with equipment fabrication is subject to GGM’s Board of Directors decision to begin the construction phase of the Project.
The Hardrock Project is located in the Municipality of Greenstone, Ontario, in the Ward of Geraldton, at the intersection of Highway 11 and Michael Power Boulevard and is situated within a historical mine site for which GGM acquired the mining claim in December 2008. The property is a brownfield site that was actively mined during the 1930-1970s, and in later years was known as the MacLeod-Mosher complex.
The Modular Elution Circuit and Gold Room equipment will be fabricated and hot run tested in our workshop in North Fremantle, with the Carbon Regeneration Kiln being supplied from Custom Furnaces in South Africa. Como Engineers are the worldwide agent for Custom Furnaces. This project is the fourth complete Modular Elution Circuit and Carbon Regeneration Kiln that Como Engineers has supplied to Canada, and at 10 tonnes is the largest capacity circuit to date.
The major benefit Como Engineers Modular Plant has is the site construction time, which is significantly reduced from a standard “stick built” plant. Other than the kiln, which is loaded onto a flat rack, the entire plant is packed into standard shipping containers for transport to site. The site construction time for this 10 tonne plant will be approximately 6 weeks from when we open the sea container doors on site to when it is ready for accepting loaded carbon and commissioning to commence. The fast off-site construction time and complete hot run testing in our workshop guarantees a reduced on-site commissioning period – the first gold pour will be a matter of days once commissioning starts.
