Greenstone Gold Mines is advancing on plans to design, construct and operate an open-pit gold mine, processing plant and ancillary facilities, collectively known as the Greenstone Project.
The project is located 275 kilometres northeast of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario (Canada).
The treatment plant will process an average of 27,000 tonnes per day with the Como Engineers 12T Modular Pressure Zadra (PZ) plant being a key component of the plant.
In winter, temperatures can fall to -39oC. The process plant is located inside a building to protect it from the elements. A key element of Como Engineers success was its ability to work with the client to fit within the building footprint. The Modular Pressure Zadra elution plant design is ideally suited to accommodate this requirement.
Como Engineers will complete pre-assembly and pre-commissioning checks at the Como Engineers workshop prior to dismantling and delivery to site.
The 12T carbon capacity loaded carbon storage vessel, acid wash and elution columns are 12 metres tall and are designed to fit inside a 40 foot sea container for ease of transportation to site.
The fabrication and pre assembly of the Como Engineers plant in our Perth workshop is well advanced.
To put the scale of the project into perspective, the elution columns pictured are the same as those in the left hand side of the 3D model – It’s big!
